Staff Promotion Announcement – January 2023

GV Lawyers is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Tran Minh Nguyet to Associate. Ms. Nguyet has over three years of experience with GV Lawyers. Beginning in position as Paralegal and later Junior Associate, with logical legal thinking, knowledge of law practices, and wealth of experience, Ms. Nguyet is promoted to Associate as of January 1, 2023.

We believe that Ms. Nguyet will have ample opportunities to further her legal education and advance her career as a professional lawyer in the new positions.

Minh Nguyet graduated from Hanoi Law University in 2018 and had almost 01 year to build up her working experience as a legal assistant at a well-known law firm whereby she obtained great opportunities to assist so many lawyers in resolving cases related to shipping and arbitration, etc.

In February 2020, Minh Nguyet joined Global Vietnam Lawyers under the position of Paralegal, with the aim to become a Lawyer specializing in the Corporate field.

GV Lawyers would like to introduce to you Legal Newsletter No. 01 – the new year issue of January 2023. This new year’s newsletter will keep you updated with the latest legal information:

• Organizations’ remitting of foreign currencies aboard from Vietnam, environmental risk management in credit extension activities, and regulations on debt purchase and sale by credit institutions.
• In the section “Legal Guidance“, we will keep you updated with the questions about tax policies such as: (i) Authorized finalization of personal income tax; (ii) Value-added tax rate applicable to goods supply activities for enterprises in export processing zones; (iii) Invoicing and declaring taxes on the amounts of compensation under a Court’s decision; and (iv) Details to be included on duty-free sales invoices.
• In the section “Good readings for you”, enterprises will be interested in the proposal to keep a 2% reduction in VAT, as well as the fact that HUBA proposes the State Bank to grant one-year extension for loans and reduce VAT to 8%.
