Cách để Ngăn ngừa virus Corona

Có lẽ bạn đã thực sự lo lắng về chủng mới COVID-19 của virus Corona, nhất là nếu gần nơi bạn ở đã xuất hiện các ca bệnh được xác định. May mắn là bạn có thể chủ động bảo vệ bản thân và gia đình khỏi lây nhiễm bệnh. Những biện pháp đơn giản như ở nhà khi có thể, tránh tiếp xúc với người bệnh, rửa tay thường xuyên và khử trùng các bề mặt mà nhiều người chạm vào có thể giúp bạn an toàn. Nếu bạn nghi ngờ mình nhiễm bệnh, hãy lập tức gọi cho bác sĩ hoặc trung tâm y tế địa phương. Sau đó, bạn cần ở nhà chờ họ báo lại để biết có cần tìm sự chăm sóc y tế hay không.

   Chích ngừa. Đi chích ngừa nếu bạn đủ điều kiện. Có nhiều loại vắc-xin đã được phê duyệt để sử dụng khẩn cấp tại Mỹ và nhiều nơi trên thế giới. Bất kể bạn có đủ điều kiện để được chích vắc-xin theo quy định trong khu vực hay không, nói chung thì các nhân viên y tế, bệnh nhân đang được chăm sóc lâu dài ở các cơ sở điều trị, nhân viên làm trong các lĩnh vực thiết yếu và người mắc các bệnh có nguy cơ cao sẽ được ưu tiên chích ngừa trước.^[2]

   • Có ba loại vắc-xin đã được chấp thuận để dùng khẩn cấp ở Mỹ của các hãng Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna và Johnson & Johnson.
   • Bạn khó có thể chọn loại vắc-xin khi đến hẹn chích ngừa vì nguồn cung còn hạn chế. Tuy nhiên, mỗi loại vắc-xin đều đã cho thấy hiệu quả chống COVID-19 rất tốt trong thử nghiệm, đồng thời giảm đáng kể nguy cơ bệnh nặng và các trường hợp nhập viện.^[3]

   Tránh xa những người đang ho hoặc hắt xì. COVID-19 lây truyền qua đường hô hấp, do đó ho và hắt xì là các triệu chứng phổ biến. Ngoài ra, virus sẽ phát tán vào không khí khi người bệnh ho và hắt xì, làm tăng nguy cơ lây nhiễm. Hãy giữ khoảng cách với những người có các triệu chứng nhiễm trùng đường hô hấp trên.^[4]

   • Nếu có thể, bạn nên yêu cầu người đó tránh xa bạn. Bạn có thể nói “Tôi thấy anh/chị đang ho. Tôi mong là anh/chị sớm khoẻ, nhưng anh/chị có thể tránh xa một chút để tôi khỏi bị lây bệnh được không ạ?”
   • Nếu bạn biết ai đó từng ở gần những người bệnh, tốt hơn hết là bạn cũng nên tránh cả người đó. Khó mà biết được họ có bị nhiễm bệnh hay không.

      Rửa tay với xà phòng và nước để giảm thiểu nguy cơ lây nhiễm. Cách tốt nhất để ngăn ngừa COVID-19 là rửa tay càng thường xuyên càng tốt. Làm ướt tay bằng nước ấm và xoa xà phòng dịu nhẹ. Xoa xà phòng cho lên bọt trong 20-30 giây, sau đó rửa sạch dưới vòi nước ấm. Thời gian bạn hát nhẩm bài "Happy Birthday" hai lần cũng tương đương như vậy, thế nên bạn cứ tưởng tượng đang hát chúc mừng sinh nhật ai đó là được.^[5]

      • Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới khuyến nghị mọi người không chỉ xoa hai lòng bàn tay vào nhau mà còn phải đan các ngón tay vào nhau theo nhiều kiểu để đảm bảo toàn bộ bề mặt da đều sạch. Dùng khăn giấy vừa lau tay để tắt vòi nước. ^[6]
      • Luôn rửa tay trước khi ăn hoặc uống bất cứ thứ gì, và tốt nhất vẫn là rửa tay mỗi khi bạn ra nơi công cộng hoặc sau khi ở gần người mà bạn nghi ngờ họ bị bệnh.
      • Nếu không có điều kiện rửa tay, bạn có thể dùng dung dịch rửa tay có nồng độ cồn 60-95%. Sản phẩm có nồng độ cồn cao hơn 95% thực ra kém hiệu quả hơn.^[7]

      Không sờ tay lên mắt, mũi và miệng. Bạn có thể đã tiếp xúc với virus Corona ở các bề mặt như tay nắm cửa hoặc mặt bàn. Khi điều này xảy ra, mầm bệnh có thể bám vào tay bạn và dễ dàng xâm nhập vào cơ thể nếu bạn sờ tay lên mặt. Hãy tránh chạm vào mắt, mũi, miệng để đề phòng trường hợp virus đang ở trên da.^[8]

      • Nếu cần phải chạm vào mặt, bạn hãy rửa tay trước để giảm nguy cơ nhiễm bệnh.

      Không bắt tay người khác, dù họ có biểu hiện các triệu chứng bệnh hoặc không. Không may là những người đã bị nhiễm COVID-19 có thể lây truyền mầm bệnh ngay cả khi họ không có triệu chứng nào.^[9]

      • Bạn có thể nói “Rất vui được gặp bạn! Bình thường thì tôi vẫn bắt tay, nhưng hiện nay Bộ Y tế khuyến cáo hạn chế tiếp xúc cơ thể để ngăn ngừa lây lan virus Corona.”
